3 attended (est.) – No rating yet Open Full Moon Celebration in Elk Grove Everyone is welcome to be part of our Full Moon Celebration, to be held in Elk Grove at Enchanted Cottage, beginning at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. The Ritual will start at 8:00 PM. Come and join us for an informal evening as we celebrate the Full Moon. First, we will sit in the round and chant or sing, and perhaps drum, and then we will go outside (weather providing) and stand around a small fire while we do a Group Chanted Ritual led by Belisama. Dress comfortably. Bring your own non-alcoholic drinks. Drums and noisemakers are optional. We may need a few extra chairs, so bring one if you can. Babies and children are always welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian. We ask for a $1.00 voluntary donation per person to help cover expenses. Beltane Celebration 2008 in the Park Everyone is welcome to join us for a Beltane Celebration on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the east side of Del Paso Park, on Auburn Blvd near Watt Ave. beginning at 1:00 PM. The Ritual will start at 3:00 PM. This is one of our most joyful celebrations of the year. We choose a May King and a May Queen by drawing the names of those present. The May King and May Queen are crowned with flowers and given honor. The May King is tied to the Maypole, and we dance around him with ribbons. After the Maypole dance, the May King lights the Balefire, which we can jump over, or use to consecrate Ritual items and jewelry. Please bring a 7 to 10 yard spool of ribbon for the Maypole Dance for each person that attends with you. Bring a dish for the potluck dinner to follow, and bring your own non-alcoholic drinks. You can also bring a chair to sit on. Children are always welcome. Cost: $1.00 voluntary donation per person, to help cover expenses. We will be holding a raffle during dinner. We are a 'Dry' Circle, in that we partake of no drugs or alcohol at any of our events. From downtown Sacramento: take Business 80 toward Reno. Exit at Watt Ave. South.
