I just moved here from the East Coast and would like to know if there are any local or private occult shops in the Sac area, or if any members of this group have their own business. I will always buy locally before buying online.

A lot of occult stores are going out of business, the only one I know of that's still around is in Folsom, called Planet Earth Rising.

Thank you Lennon! :)
I was sadly coming to the same conclusion. My friend and I are currently in the works to start our own using our Youtube channels and friends to get it started. It'll only be online at first but we will eventually make it into a locationed store. |

There's also a much smaller one in Old Town Sacramento called The Garden of Enchantment. If you're into stones and crystals, Ology is a good place to go. He also offers wands, bells, and many other magickcal goodies. I actually don't care much for the prices but the fella who runs the place is really nice.
Planet Earth Rising is definitely the best though. Oh! And if you ever are in the bay area, check out the Red Raven in Vallejo. They actually host an open circle once a week that everyone and anyone is welcome to attend. (More to come as I find them accidentally while I wander!) As an aside, I've found a lot of really useful websites when reading New Witch magazine. They have some decent sellers listed in there, even if I don't always agree with the actual content. Stop by a bookstore and flip through a copy. Edited by User 9,360,990 on Aug 4, 2009 6:23 PM |

Being new to Sacramento Myself (moved from New Zealand about 8 months ago) I was beginning to fear that all the occult shops were closing up.
I knew of -ocology, The Garden of Enchantment and Planet Earth Rising before I arrived but sadly I've found they just don't cut it anymore. I recently discovered Blossoming Path in Fair Oaks which I can't speak highly enough of - if you do a google search they have a website for hours, location etc - they also offer classes etc. Hope this helps |
