Details

Hello Everyone.

We're currently reading the first 5 chapters of Drawing Down the Moon by Margot Adler. This is the newest revision of the book (ISBN 9780143038191). A book about pagan spirituality, feminism, a return to nature worship and everything that has to do with alternative religion.

From the Back of the Book:

Almost Thirty years since its original publication, Drawing Down the Moon continues to be the only detailed history of the burgeoning but still widely misunderstood Neo-Pagan subculture. Margot Adler attended ritual gatherings and interviewed a diverse, colorful gallery of people across the US, people who find inspiration in ancient deities, nature, myth even science fiction. Contrary to stereotype, what adler discovered was neither cults nor odd sects, but religious groups that are nonauthoritarian in spirit and share the belieft that there is no one single path to divinity.

From Me:
Join us for an in depth talk about the first 5 Chapters of this interesting book. Considered to be one of the pagan manifestos, Margot Adler addresses not only the pagan culture but the pagan counter culture. How pagans have grown as a sub culture of the Hippy movement to one of the fastest growing religions in America today.
