Imbolc - Making Brigid's Crosses

This will be more of a workshop activity. Shortly after arriving a crew of stalwart individuals will carpool out to the “reed store” to collect reeds. Those who want to collect reeds will need boots and may get wet in the process of collecting them. When we return, hopefully with enough reeds, Sal and Rusty will give directions on how to make Brigid’s Crosses. You’ll take home the crosses you make. It’s easy and anyone can make these. An especially good activity for children.

What to bring:

• Bring snacks to share
  
• You may wish to bring pipe cleaners or straws in case we can’t collect enough reeds for everyone
  
• If anyone has access to straw (not the kind you drink through) one cake would be plenty to share with everyone to make them out of straw
  

Water, tea, and soda provided.
