"it is a nice casual way to meet other pagans- no strings attached is great no agends wonderful and company was nice."

Seanachai (Mar 16, 2008)

"I like the variety of folks that come to the meeting. I've been to one of Sorcha's meetups before at the Fireside, and was not disappointed with that either. As a footnote, I slipped out afterwards with Brandy to go to an Open Mike night. We stayed out past 11 and the acts weren't bad. Overall, a very cool night out."

Spiral (Feb 14, 2008)

"I was my first meeting and I look forward to many more."

Kenneth Cater (Feb 14, 2008)

Randy Callison (Nov 14, 2007)

"This is one of the best groups of people I have ever met. Everyone is very much fun and silly and looking for great time to socialize and get a little silly. It's nice to have such a great group where we can all be ourselves =^..^= "

Eden (Sep 13, 2007)

"I would like to go to more of the meetups and see and hang out more. "

Jerminator (Sep 13, 2007)

"It's great to meet people who are of a similar bent. I've been going to AA for years, but the focus on god really affects conversation and the environment. There are pagans and such who go to AA, but they're few and far between. I like the group."

FranklinAaberg (Jul 11, 2007)

"I enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward to meeting others in the coming months."

Sapphire MoonWolf (Jun 14, 2007)

"I loved the group! These people are fun, interesting, offbeat and full of the zest for life that, to me, is the embodiment of my pagan ideal. Love of life, humor, and appetite for enjoyment! Wisdom gleaned from laughter... what more could I ask for?"

Kalera (Feb 9, 2005)

"Everyone was so laid back. Everybody just wanted to have a good time and did. Everyone there seemed to have a great attitude and were respectful allowing others to speak. No one seemed to grandstand themselves. Despite anyone's age, everyone acted mature and evolved. I will be back!"

About this Meetup

Welcome to the Portland (Oregon) Pagan Meetup group.

We're a very diverse group of Witches, Wiccans, Wizards, Shamans, and other assorted Pagans, who meet several times a month, in different areas of Portland, for social purposes.

Membership is FREE, although the organiser has to pay a monthly fee to Meetup for their services. If you can and would like to contribute $1 or so each Meetup, that would be great. If you can handle only a 25¢ or 50 ¢ a Meetup, that's great too. If you prefer to pay a larger chunk for a year or so, we have a PAYPAL account.

We will soon open groups in Salem, Oregon and perhaps McMinnville, Oregon. All notices for those Meetups will, at first, go through Portland Witches Meetup site (www.witches.meetup/14/com). After those groups are well established, they will have their own Meetup accounts.

This is the group to join if you want to meet other, friendly, like-minded people. Our Meetups are social, not educational, although you very likely will meet someone at a Meetup who can help you progress in your magickal studies. You might even get into a serious discussion off to the side with someone, while the rest of us are cackling away.

Mostly, we're a silly bunch; there's more laughter than logic, more mirth than magick at our Meetups. Sometimes we go out to listen to music together, and do nothing Witchy at all.

We have people of all ages, and of all levels of Witchy and Pagan expertise. There are a lot of Pagan educational gatherings throughout the Portland area. This is the gathering to come to when you want to have a good laugh with some other Pagans.

We are now in the process of planning topical Meetups IN ADDITION TO our regularly-scheduled social Meetups. You will receive notices of those Meetups.

You'd be surprised how much you could learn at the social Meetups, though . . .
