Here is your opportunity to sit and chat and meet new Pagans. We have no agenda, no topic, no rules, no hierarchies, no attitudes. We're just friendly and silly and will try to make you feel comfortable with us. There are plenty of classes and rituals and other places where you can't just sit and talk about anything with other Pagan friends. We're not like that. If you WANT to have a serious conversation with someone at our Meetup, there might be someone who also wants to have a serious conversation with you. There might not be someone there that night, or they might want to be silly that night, but just because we're silly doesn't mean we're fluffy. Make connections, make new friends, network, laugh, snort, giggle, cackle, delve deeply ... we never know what's going to happen from one Meetup to the next.

For the summer we're changing our Meetup venue. We'll be meeting at the Essence of China restaurant, which is on the ground floor of the Postal Building (but it isn't a post office, that's just the name of the building. It's a very large lovely old building, light beige with a lot of 19th Century decorative details.) at 510 SW Third, downtown Portland (the building is on the corner of 3rd and Washington, and takes up half the block, but the restaurant can't be seen from that corner). The restaurant is INSIDE the building. You cannot see it from outside. There is a small, very easily overlooked sign that says Essence of China on 3rd Ave., but the restaurant IS there. Just go INSIDE the building. The door to the restaurant is towards the back of the lobby. They'll be expecting you. Just say you're looking for Sorcha. They know me.

Yes, parking is a bit tight downtown. There is a parking lot right behind the Essence of China at 2nd and Washington, and one across the street at 3rd and Washington. 3rd Avenue is the bus mall for the next few months, and MAX's Oak Street stop is about 1 block away.

The event itself is, as always, free, but since we are meeting at a commercial establishment, it is proper to buy an appetiser at least (for under $5), and eating there is a great joy. I have spoken to the owner, however, and he said that not everyone had to buy something to eat.

There is plenty of room for us; most of their night time business is delivery. They're very glad we'll be meeting up there.

Last month's Meetup there was great. They set a table up for us so nicely. We had the entire dining room to ourselves, and the food was delicious.

Hope you can make it.
